Why JustCook Kitchens is becoming EPIC.

EPIC: A celebration of local fare, epicly done.

When we first created the JustCook Kitchens brand, we marketed it towards chefs to articulate the value we offered them: the ability to "just cook" in our spaces. And we’ve done just that since opening in October 2021, working with talented local chefs who offer great, delicious food at our first location, 5th St Food Hall, in downtown Edmonton.

Now, as we’re in the midst of building our second experiential market at Station Park, we realized that what we’re building goes beyond just the kitchens and the infrastructure for chefs. We are establishing places where epic food, drinks, and experiences meet, and we needed an updated brand that focuses on the end customers and the promise we make to them when they visit any of our spaces. We still offer opportunities to chefs to showcase their talents and creativity and help them successfully bring their creations to the world, but we needed a new name and brand that better resonated with our end customers: the foodies and bon-vivants coming to eat, drink, and enjoy good times at 5th St (and soon Station Park).

This is why we’re excited to announce that JustCook Kitchens has changed its name to EPIC. Our core goal remains the same: at EPIC, we partner with decorated, recognized chefs in Edmonton (and beyond) to bring the best local fare under one roof. The new name better reflects what customers can expect when they pay us a visit - an EPIC culinary experience that answers Edmontonians' cravings.

We’re talking about the same great experience that our customers have come to love: delicious dishes created by talented local chefs, exquisite drinks for the best pairings, and an overall welcoming ambiance meant for a wonderful time. Whether coming with a date or a group of friends, stopping by on the way to a hockey game, enjoying a drink with colleagues after work, or privatising the space for a special business event, it sure will be an excellent experience. But Edmontonians can also expect many exciting - or should we say EPIC - things in the coming months. In addition to opening our second location in Station Park later this summer, we also have several EPIC Chef Takeovers Dinners lined up for May: Chef Alex Edmonson on May 1; Chef Winnie Chen on May 8; and Chef Lindsey Porter on May 15 (tickets will be available soon!), along with many more amazing events.
